IS IT WORTH ADVERTISING VIA MULTICULTURAL TV PROGRAMS?
You may ask yoursel if it's worth advertising via multicultural TV programs? Yes, it is. Advertising via multicultural TV programs helps Advertisers reach fractions of the Canadian society that otherwise would not consider Advertisers' ads. These fractions make up a large customer segment of the Canadian market, in fact. According to Statistics Canada, one in five Canadians is not born in Canada.
DOES TV ADVERTISING WORK?
Television enjoys a long and proven history in terms of message delivery and communication efficacy. It has proven time and time again that TV can be relied upon to achieve an advertiser's communication objective, and contribute to the achievement of associated business, marketing and sales goals. Product placement and in-content brand exposure in TV programming continues to be a stable media platform for many marketers -- especially in big-season premieres.
HOW MUCH TIME DO CANADIANS SPEND WATCHING TV?
It depends on the demographic group. For the 2009/2010 broadcast year-to-date as of Nov.15th, Canadians aged 2+ spent an average of 27.1 hours per week watching television on a per capita basis.
ALBERTA WEEKLY ADVERTISING PACKAGES
The Alberta Weekly TV Magazine offers several advertising packages. All packages include Internet promotion, at no extra cost, via the Alberta Weekly TV Magazine Website. Aside from the actual advertising packages the Alberta Weekly offers, subject to the advertising space, special packages are tailored for particular requests made by advertisers/sponsors that require limited slots due to the nature of their advertising needs. At their sole discretion advertisers/sponsors can incur at their expense certain production costs to appear on-camera, in dialogue with the host(s) to introduce their ads.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS (PSA)
PSA segments are non-commercial announcements. They deliver information that benefits the community. Non-profit societies and organizations may submit text, graphic or video announcements. Typical PSA segments announce community events, artistic and theater activities, volunteer requests and community services, in general. Direct requests for funds or financial contributions are not accepted. The location of an event or activity may be anywhere in Alberta, and/or Canada, but priority shall be given to Calgary and Edmonton based events, to the non-profit societies and organizations based in the two cities. A contact phone number and mailing address must be provided with each submission. The producers of Alberta Weekly reserve the right to edit each announcement to fit the advertising requirements in force.
